Water Trucking Project  , Slogan: Together Towards Providing Safe Water for Affected Communities

In line with the Mission of Tawfiq Foundation for Education and Development (TFED) to Serve Communities, Respond to Humanitarian needs, and Support the Most Vulnerable Groups, the Foundation Implemented the Water Trucking Project in Galgaduud Region, Galmudug State, and Federal Republic of Somalia. The Project aimed to Improve access to Safe drinking water for Families affected by drought and Water scarcity in rural and Pastoralist areas, as well as Internally displaced Persons (IDP) Camps, thereby Contributing to Improved living Conditions and Public health.

The Project was implemented amid growing Humanitarian Challenges Caused by recurrent drought Conditions that affected Somalia from late 2025 through April 2026. These Challenges were further exacerbated by below-average or failed Seasonal rainfall during both the Dayr and Gu rainy Seasons across Many of the affected areas. As a result, Traditional Water Sources significantly declined or dried up, leading to increased levels of water insecurity among local Communities. This situation negatively impacted the health and livelihoods of affected Populations, threatened household Stability, and jeopardized income sources that depend primarily on livestock and agriculture, while increasing the Vulnerability of already at-risk Communities.

Tawfiq Foundation for Education and Development (TFED) extends its sincere Appreciation and gratitude to all donors and Supporters who contributed to the Funding and Successful Implementation of this humanitarian Project. The Foundation highly Values their trust and Continued support and reaffirms its Commitment to Implementing humanitarian and development Programs aimed at Improving the living Conditions of Vulnerable Communities and Strengthening their resilience and recovery Capacity in the face of future crises and Challenges.
