For Somalia, where over three decades of civil war and internal conflicts have devastated the country since the collapse of the central government in 1991, reconciliation is not only crucial but also urgent. It is the foundation for rebuilding trust, fostering social cohesion, and achieving peaceful coexistence among the diverse groups within Somali society.
TFED’s Role in Promoting Reconciliation and Peace
The Tawfiq Foundation for Education and Development (TFED) plays an active role in mediating between warring clans and tribes, aiming to bridge divisions and strengthen community ties. The foundation emphasizes the core principles and values of Islam, which advocate for understanding, cooperation, and peaceful coexistence. Capacity Building and Good Governance
