On 29 December 2025, the Tawfiq Foundation for Education and Development Organized a healthcare Intervention to Ensure the delivery of essential Medical Services to Vulnerable Groups Residing at Daya’an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp in Abudwak City, Galmudug State.
This activity was implemented as part of its efforts to enhance the health conditions of displaced and affected Families. The Main Objective of this Campaign was to provide essential healthcare services to the Camp residents who cannot to access health Centers in the City due to the Inability to afford Transportation, as well as the difficult living Conditions faced by the displaced Population.
The Campaign aimed to provide both preventive and curative healthcare to the most vulnerable groups, particularly children, pregnant women, and the elderly. It also sought to reduce the spread of diseases and improve health awareness within the camp. The number of beneficiaries of this initiative reached 200 Peoplefrom displaced Families in the camp received a comprehensive Package of health services, which included:
- General Medical check-ups
- Blood Pressure Measurement
- Diabetes Screening
- Medical Consultations
- Distribution of essential Medication
The Campaign was warmly welcomed by the beneficiaries, who expressed their gratitude for this initiative, emphasizing that these Services helped alleviate their health Challenges amid the limited Medical facilities With in the camp.
