On the Saturday, 01/01/2026, the second floor Construction Project of Tawfiq Mosque in Abudwak City was officially launched – Which is one of tha charitable and developmental Project  implemented by the Tawfiq Foundation for Education and Development.

The construction of this project Continued for eleven (11) months, beginning with the laying of the foundation stone on 01 February 2025,  this period covering all phases of planning, execution, and construction, and was successfully completed by the grace of Allah according to the highest standards in Mosque design.

The inauguration Ceremony was attended by scholars, local Community leaders and elders, the local administration, and the Foundation’s Management, alongside a large gathering of Community Members. This Project reflects the importance of Cooperation and solidarity in Charitable and developmental Initiatives for the Community.

The Foundation expresses its sincere gratitude and appreciation to all donors and Contributors who supported this Project.

On 29 December 2025, the Tawfiq Foundation for Education and Development Organized a healthcare Intervention to Ensure the delivery of essential Medical Services to Vulnerable Groups Residing at Daya’an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp in Abudwak City, Galmudug State.

This activity was implemented as part of its efforts to enhance the health conditions of displaced and affected Families.    The Main Objective of this Campaign was to provide essential healthcare services to the Camp residents who cannot to access health Centers in the City due to the Inability to afford Transportation, as well as the difficult living Conditions faced by the displaced Population.

The Campaign aimed to provide both preventive and curative healthcare to the most vulnerable groups, particularly children, pregnant women, and the elderly. It also sought to reduce the spread of diseases and improve health awareness within the camp. The number of beneficiaries of this initiative reached 200 Peoplefrom displaced Families in the camp received a comprehensive Package of health services, which included:

• General Medical check-ups
• Blood Pressure Measurement
• Diabetes Screening
• Medical Consultations
• Distribution of essential Medication

The Campaign was warmly welcomed by the beneficiaries, who expressed their gratitude for this initiative, emphasizing that these Services helped alleviate their health Challenges amid the limited Medical facilities With in the camp.

On June 26,  2025, the Tawfiq Foundation for Education and Development distributed Copies of the Holy Qur’an to Male and Female Students in Qur’an Memorization Schools in Abudwak City. This Initiative Comes as Part of the Foundation’s Ongoing Commitment to Supporting Qur’anic Memorization Schools and Improving its Quality.

A total of 1,500 Copies of the Holy Qur’an were Provided and distributed to the Students, with the aim of Strengthening their Memorization and Study, and deepening their Knowledge and Spiritual Understanding of the Qur’an.

By launching this Project, the Tawfiq Foundation, Reaffirms its strong Commitment to Providing a Supportive Learning Environment and essential Resources that Contribute to the Academic and Spiritual Development of Students.

The Initiative also highlights the Importance of Moral and Ethical Education fostered through Religious learning.

On June 10, 2025, the Tawfiq Foundation for Education and Development (TFED) Carried out a Sacrificial Meat distribution Initiative for Poor Families and displaced Persons inAbudwak district. This Humanitarian effort Coincided with the blessed days of Eid al-Adha and aimed to Bring joy, Relief, and a Sense of Inclusion to Vulnerable Families during the Festive Period.

A total of 200 Families benefited from the Project, which Sought to alleviate hardship and Strengthen Social Solidarity by Sharing the Spirit of Eid with those in need.

The Recipients warmly welcomed the Initiative, Expressing heartfelt appreciation for its Positive Impact on their lives and its role in Fostering Community Cohesion and Compassion.

This effort Reflects TFED’s ongoing Mission to Serve Vulnerable Populations and Promote the Values of generosity, unity, and dignity—especially during Significant Religious and Cultural Occasions.

On May 28, 2025, the Tawfiq Foundation for Education and Development Organized the Third  Session of the Qur’an Memorization Competition for the northern region of Galgadud.  The event brought together Students from Various Qur’anic Schools in Abudwak  , with the Goal of Encouraging Qur’an Memorization among youth and Promoting a Spirit of healthy Competition and Academic Excellence.

The Ceremony was attended by a diverse Group of guests, Including Educational Professionals, Local administrative officials, Ministers from the Galmudug State Government, and Prominent Community Members. Their Presence underscored the Significance of the event and the Value Placed on Religious Education and Youth Development.

To honor Exceptional Performance, the top-ranking Students were awarded Cash Prizes, Recognizing their dedication, discipline, and Achievement in Memorizing the Holy Qur’an. The Competition Served not only as a Celebration of talent and effort but also as an Inspiration for other Students to Engage more deeply in Religious learning.

This Initiative Reflects TFED’s Mission to Nurture moral Values, Academic Achievement, and Community Pride through Meaningful Educational Programs.

Finally, the attendees Expressed their deep Appreciation for the Vital role the Foundation plays-especially in Organizing such Meaningful Qur’an events that Contribute to the Spread of Goodness and the Reinforcement of the Qur’an’s Significance within Society.

TFED and Save the Children Conduct Leadership Training for School Principals in Galgudud region.

On December 15, 2024, the Tawfiq Foundation for Education and Development (TFED), in Collaboration with Save the Children, Organized a two-day training Program designed to Enhance the Leadership and Administrative Skills of Primary and Secondary School Principals in the Cities of Abudwak and Balanballe, located in the Galgudud region.

This Training was Part of the joint efforts by both Organizations to Strengthen the Education Sector by building the Capacity and Competencies of Educational Leaders. Nearly fifty Principals Participated, gaining Valuable Skills expected to Contribute Significantly to Improving the Quality and Management of Educational Institutions in the region.

The Program Reflects the Shared Commitment of TFED and Save the Children to foster effective School leadership as a Critical factor in delivering quality Education.

On June 16, 2024, the Tawfiq Foundation for Education and Development (TFED) Organized an Awareness and Guidance Session for the high School Graduates of the Academic year  2023/2024  in the City of Garbaharey.

The Session aimed to Enhance Students’ awareness and Provide Support in Choosing Academic Specializations that best align with their Interests and abilities. By offering tailored guidance, the Initiative Sought to Empower Graduates to make Informed decisions about their Educational and Career Paths.

This event reflects TFED’s Commitment to Fostering Educational Development and ensuring that Young People are well-Prepared for their Future Academic endeavors.

On May 30, 2024, the Tawfiq Foundation For Education and Development Organized a lecture and scientific symposium titled: “The Role of Tribal Elders in Achieving Social Peace.”  In Garbaharey –Capital of Gedo Regional-  This event aimed to shed light on the crucial role played by tribal leaders and clan elders in strengthening security, building bridges of trust, and resolving Community Conflicts through peaceful means.

The symposium was attended by a number of prominent figures, including intellectuals, peace and development activists, and several tribal elders. The event was met with positive interaction from the audience. At its conclusion, there was a strong emphasis on the need to empower and equip tribal elders to effectively fulfill their roles in peace building and enhancing social cohesion

As part of its ongoing Efforts to Promote Education and instill Religious and Cultural Values in Future Generations, the Tawfiq Foundation for Education and Development (TFED) established a new Educational Institute on April 19, 2024.

The Institute is dedicated to Teaching Core Academic Subjects, along with Qur’an Memorization, Islamic Jurisprudence, and the Arabic language. It Currently Serves 270 male and female Students, Including Orphans and Children from Underprivileged backgrounds.

This Initiative aims to build a well-informed, Morally grounded, and Progressive Society by Providing accessible, high-quality Education that blends both Academic Excellence and Religious Values. The Establishment of this Institute Reflects TFED’s strong Commitment to Community Empowerment, Social Development, and Equal Educational Opportunities for all.
